Diablo 4 fans have been buzzing with excitement not only about the game's evolving content but also about the possibility of it coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. Rod Fergusson, the executive producer of Diablo, recently shared that there is an "opportunity" to bring Diablo 4 to Nintendo's upcoming handheld console. While nothing is confirmed, Fergusson's comments indicate that Blizzard is seriously considering the Switch 2 as a platform for Diablo 4 Diablo 4 Items.
The Nintendo Switch 2, launching on June 5, 2025, boasts improved hardware capable of running demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077, which bodes well for Diablo 4's performance on the device. Fergusson noted that the challenge lies less in hardware and more in the logistics of supporting live service features on the Switch platform, which have been "a little bit challenging" in the past.
With Diablo 3 and Diablo 2: Resurrected already available on the original Switch and backward compatible on the Switch 2, the door is open for Diablo 4. Fans will have to wait and see if Blizzard can overcome the live service hurdles to bring the latest installment to Nintendo's new console Diablo 4 Boosting buy.
